A pleated midi dress that ties at the waist
The skirt is pleated the whole way round in narrow folds, so it holds its shape standing still and swings out as you walk. A narrow self-tie belt runs through the waist and knots at the front, which is what gives the dress its shape — undone, it falls straight. The bodice is plain, the neckline is round and set close to the throat, and the cap sleeves are cut in one piece with the shoulder rather than set in.
